War Robots is a massively multiplayer game that has been published by Pixonic. Players take part in 6v6 battles on 14 maps where they battle opponents from all over the world while piloting armored machines. People can upgrade and equip their robots, improving their chances of success.
You can equip up to four weapons in War Robots’ Hardpoint slots. The experience you gain and any in-game currency will help you unlock light, medium or heavy weapons.
Here’s a rundown of the best weapons that can be equipped in the game.
Gauss
The Gauss is a well-balanced railgun for mid to long range combat. It has an advanced reload mechanism that allows the player to do more damage between battles. Many experienced players mount this weapon on robots such as Fury and Behemoth.
Setting your sights on one player at a time gives you the opportunity to do more damage and take them out sooner.
Tier IV weapon poses a threat to robots in close combat. This means that players with the Dash ability or another movement skill would be perfect for them.
Gauss is the best heavy weapon if you’re playing on medium-sized robots, such as Strider. In War Robots, it can land critical damage on the enemy with one shot.
Ancile
The Ancile weapon allows you to activate a shield at the same time, in order to protect your allies from heavy weapons and missiles. It’s also visually stunning when shot at, as it shows off beautiful blue honeycombs.
It can be a lifesaver on low cover maps like Canyon and Carrier.
Igniter, Ember and Blaze are all flamethrowers that can pierce through the shields emitted by Ancile. Alongside defending you against high-damage attacks, these shields activated by Ancile can also self-recharge. The Ancile is not mountable on the Butch or Bulwark.
Redeemer
Redeemer is a Tier IV weapon that is capable of accurately and quickly taking out enemies from 350 meters away. It can be equipped in multiple slots on a Furious robot and can be used against opponents in battle.
The Lancelot and Carnage are also good options for mounting the Redeemer as they have the Rush ability which allows them to sprint towards enemies.
The Redemption has a powerful weapon thatKang Dae has a slow fire rate, which can make it hard to shoot enemies that take cover. However, its reload time is short and the weapon deals double damage to physical shields. Much like the shotgun, this weapon is ideal in close-range situations when you need to break through an enemy’s defensecan dish out damage in less than 5 seconds. Before you can reload, you’ll need to finish off all your rounds of bullets. When using the Redemption’s increased accuracy, you can also take down a player’s shield with 1 shot.
Kang Dae
Kang Dae is one of the most common sights for new players wielding kinetic weapons that deal a sizable 5,070 damage per bullet. The gun has long-range accuracy and is often equipped by many novice gamers.
Natasha is an excellent bot to use when playing on open maps like Carrier or Yamantau. These are perfect maps thanks to the large, less-cover spaces.
The Kang Dae’s slow rate of fire makes it hard to shoot enemies taking cover. However, it has a reduced reload time, taking less than six seconds to fire the next round. Kang Dae can deal 2x damage to physical shields, making it a beast in battle.
Thermite
Thermite is an explosive weapon that you can use to sabotage enemies from a close distance. Each missile can deal around 4,050 damage at ranges up to 350 meters. It can hold up to four missiles and it has a lock-on system that allows it to track any enemy on the map.
When fighting robots, people should try to find cover when they can in order to avoid damage. You’ll want to use a Tier III weapon and the cost of that is 3,000 gold.
Anciles with shields can block damage from missiles, so be careful when using Thermite. Behemoth and Butch are great robots on which to mount it.
Prisma
Prisma is a long-range weapon and is used by snipers to hunt their opponents from vantage points on the map. The weapon can punish enemies in larger maps like Dreadnought, Rome, and Shenzhen.
Prisma Belt’s charged shots take a while to recharge, but can deal an incredible amount of damage if they do connect. They deal 2,940 DMG and reload in 13 seconds.
Tier IV weapons have a very high total capacity of 40 bullets per magazine, which means less reloading. Prisma is not effective at close and mid-range combat, but is better when used at long-range since the damage decreases as the range increases.
The machinegun can also project a beam of light onto its targets. Any unsuspecting enemies will be alerted by the dangerous beam.
Glacier
Glacier is a unique close-range weapon that can freeze enemies with every shot. It can be obtained at level 20 and costs 6,000 Gold.
Speed can be important for robots that simulate fast moves, such as Kumiho and Strider. Against these robots, it is possible to freeze them in place with Glacier.
This weapon has an extra-wide splash radius, which is useful if you are outnumbered or behind a shield. The Big Boy has the widest ammo capacity out of all the weapons and can completely shred your opponent’s shield with its high burst damage.
