Released by Z2Live, Shadowslayer: Dawn of the Lightforge is an RPG game where you can enjoy intuitive combat system and fantasy adapted world. So, if you are into Zelda and Secret of Mana, this game is should be in your wish list.
The story unfolds with Tristan as the main character, as he fulfils his destiny in an incredible journey to protect the land by defeating an evil enemy. Throughout the quest, he will come across different characters, while the quests are usually quite simple, and you can get access to them through a map screen. Go with Tristan through woods and explore valleys while searching for treasure!
Areas will be crawling with different creatures and enemies Tristan will have to defeat and depending on if you have chosen to play as a wizard or a warrior, his move set will change. You can move Tristan smoothly and with a simple touch of the screen and unleash his fury while defeating enemies. You can also combine offensive moves and that way increase their power, but keep in mind that they need a certain period of time to re-charge. If you combine it with certain strategic withdrawal, creatures will get more furious.
Tristan will also focus on helping the people and listening to their needs so there is a large range of buildings and houses to choose from, so that way you can get new weapons and armors. You can also sell items that you think you no longer need so you can easily get rid of unnecessary stuff. Grow a small village into a fantasy city and basically that is the basis of the whole game.
You will immerse into bright and vibrant color schemes and while the game is in a 3D isometric view, you can view the world in its complete glory. The enemies won’t get boring after some time since there is plenty of variety.
The only downside to it is that the quests can become quite repetitive and won’t ask much of you since battling monsters is not that hard to manage. The story is lacking more dialogue but overall the game is quite enjoyable. If you are into expanding and building a town, get Shadowwslayer and immerse into fantasy world of wizards and warriors.
