If we have to compare one good arcade racer to the next, then Asphalt has been a reliable name for quite some time. Asphalt 9 has once again given us the chance to drive a bunch of pretty awesome cars in solo and multiplayer races. This is a game that’s definitely worth your time!
Asphalt 9 makes no bones about the fact that the driving you’re doing bears no resemblance to real life, in case the hints we dropped about the tornado and the earthquake weren’t clear on that score.
This game is beautiful, and the visuals for the cars and tracks are gorgeous. Ready to challenge your driving skills and break the rules? Well, you can do that by racing along a tornado’s outskirts or leaping between segments of track in this game.
Aside from the few changes that TouchDrive has, one of the biggest upgrades is how you can unlock new cars. You don’t need to save up money to buy them as they are now unlocked with cards.
Car cards are called blueprints and you need a different amount of them to unlock or rank up each car.
There are positives and negatives to it: The random nature of the gacha-esque mechanic means you might not always be working on the cars you might want most, but it also adds a feeling of progress in your garage by owning many cars at any given time.
It’s going to be tempting to buy some cars in-game as the game is pretty good about giving you deals, but if you can wait it out, then you can grind out a lot of them. You also unlock 4 or 5 of them within your first few hours.
Here’s how to earn blueprints so far:
Make Use of My Career Mode
Asphalt 9 features a solo mode that will reward you with blueprints on a regular basis. Be sure to take note of the objectives for each race, as some levels have multiple tasks before you can collect the blueprint they are offering.
The career mode in the game is huge and takes up a lot of time. You’ll find all sorts of blueprints and they are separated into different tiers, which makes it easy to see what you need to work on next.
Take Part In Daily Events
Once you’ve progressed enough to access them, the Daily Events tab is something you’ll definitely want to visit. Every weekday contains an event with blueprints from a different vehicle class and on the weekends, those will be found for all classes.
Daily Car Loot is a time-based racing game that doesn’t require any interaction with other players. You can compete solo against the clock for the chance to win blueprints from different classes depending on what car you’re driving.
Join a Club
Regardless of whether or not you like social interaction in a mobile game, it’s always worth joining a club. They provide an amazing support network and lots of fun activities to get involved with.
Here at the Club, earning reputation points unlocks blueprints for epic cars. For example, every few milestones will grant you with a blueprint. This will encourage commitment from members who can see the progression and want to unlock rewards that are at a high tier.
Try Multiplayer
Asphalt 9 offers multiplayer racing with up to 8 players per race. Features include a leaderboard, rating system, and seasonal rewards.
However, if you are not that good at PvP racing, you will still be able to get blueprints from multiplayer races. You can earn 3 different packs of blueprints per day.
If you want to progress, then all you need is some dedication because that’s the only way you’ll earn points. All rewards are divided into 3 categories – win (3 cups), collect (1 cup) and second place(2 cups). You can get these points for example by participating in races after which you will be able to advance upwards on the scoreboard.
Card Packs In The Shop
The shop will give you a free pack of blueprint cards every four hours. But it’s not enough to just come in and collect the card, you have to be actively playing the game or checking swag codes every four hours!
You can also use your premium currency, called Tokens in this game, for Premium Packs that have an increased chance at rare cars. You can also purchase normal cards because gacha
Anyway, even more common blueprints can be helpful for ranking up the cars you unlock in My Career, so it’s worth saving up 65 Tokens when you can.
Pick Individual Blueprints In The Legend Store
Adjacent to the card packs in the shop, you’ll find the Legend Store, where you can purchase rotating car blueprints. These blueprints range from being available for a lot of credits to free only if you collect enough tokens.
So for the first few, you might want to go ahead and use the basic blueprints. They’re cheaper, so it’s more efficient in terms of spending your money. The upwards climb starts to happen once you go past that though, because then the price only increases per blueprint pack.
